The Engineering area is responsible for basic, detail, and fabrication engineering according to clients’ specifications. It is equipped with the human, technical, and infrastructural resources required for such tasks.
FIMA’s human resources include a team of properly qualified engineers, designers, and draftsmen with ample experience in the development of metal mechanical projects.
The company’s technical resources draw upon a “know how” acquired through FIMA’s more than 40 years as leader in the metal mechanics field, as well as the technical input of our strategic partners.
In terms of infrastructure, FIMA possesses specialized computer and software systems that allow us to speed up the engineering development. The following rank among our primary software resources:
- Compress 6310, for calculating pressure vessels in accordance with the ASME Code, Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2.
- Etank 2000, for the calculation of storage tanks in line with API standards 620, 650, and 653.
- SPOOLGEN, specialized in the design of piping systems.
- SolidWorks Simulation Premiun 2010, specialized in the design and calculation of machine elements based on the Finite Element Method (FEM).
- J&H Bulk Handling Calculator, specialized in the design of conveyor belts.
- Inventor Suit 2010 (Including Autocad, Inventor and Inventor Professional for Routed System 2009)
