Run Perú - DRP has awarded to FIMA the manufacture
and assembly of a "turnkey project" for a Zinc
Ferrite Flotation Plant, with a production capacity
of 1,500 TPD.
The primary equipment is comprised of Attrition
Cells, Mixers, Thickeners, Flotation Cells, Pumping
Systems; equipment manufactured and/or supplied by
FIMA.
Furthermore, the scope of the project includes civil
works, electricity and control supply and
electrical-mechanical erection.
As in previous occasions, FIMA has taken on the
challenge, and it is set on carrying out the project
in 8 months.
Yanacocha - Carachugo Expansion
FIMA participated in the expansion of Carachugo at
Yanacocha SRL, a Newmont group company, which,
through FLUOR, awarded to FIMA the manufacture of 18
Carbon Tanks with a 3.1m. diameter and heights up to
10.8m. These Carbon Tanks were manufactured in
record time: 12 weeks.
FIMA continues to consolidate itself as one of the
key suppliers of FLUOR for this type of project.
FIMA working on its seventh Spools Project
Since the year 1999, up to this date, FIMA has
manufactured in its workshops more than 300,000
diameter inches / 4,000 MT worth of spools (prefabricated
piping) made of carbon steel, steel alloys and
stainless steel.
Customers are satisfied in the mining, petroleum and
natural gas industries.
At present, FIMA is manufacturing stainless steel
spools on the request of Harrison Western – U.S.A.,
for the Minera Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant –
Newmont Group.

ISO - 9001 – 2000 Certification
FIMA has been granted certification on its
Management System, for the following activities: "Design,
manufacture, logistics and supplementary services, for the
supply of systems and for the manufacture of machinery,
equipment and components for productive sectors".
The object of obtaining this international certification is to
ensure quality in the products and services offered to its
customers, through on-going improvements achieved in the
organization.
In addition to ISO-9001-2000 certification, FIMA has been
granted ASME certification on the “U” and “S” stamps.
