The FIMA QC system is based on the principles established by the ASME code, and operates according to the requirements of the clients' specifications.

THE QC area activities are adequately classified and listed in the Inspection and Testing Plan, as well as being clearly indicated in the manufacture plans. The QA/QC activities and documentation enable reliable traceability of each element at any given stage of manufacturing.

The main activities of the current quality control system, described in the Inspection and Testing Plan, are:

- Material inspection upon receipt
- Revision of Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP)
- Non-Conformity Registration (NCR)
- Qualification of welding procedures (PQR and WPS)
- Qualification of welders (WPQ)
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
- Post-Weld Heat Treatment
- Post-Weld Heat Treatment
- Dimensional control
- Watertightness tests (hydrostatic, pneumatic, vacuum, etc.)
- Creation and archiving of quality dossier
FIMA is proud to be certified by ASME to manufacture and assemble boilers using the "S" stamp (ASME Section I), manufacture pressure vessels with the “U” stamp (ASME Section VIII Div. 1), manufacture pressure vessels with the “U2” stamp (ASME Section VIII Div. 2), as well as being the only company in Peru authorized by the National Board to use the “R” stamp in the reparation of boilers or pressure vessels. The company has also manufactured and stamped the first entirely Peruvian-made pressure vessel.
